Caledonia basketball gets big sendoff to state, looks for another chance at title

CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT) - The Caledonia boys basketball team got a big send-off Wednesday as they head back to the state tournament.

The team is excited for their chance at a state title after coming up short last year.

"Some people sometimes think that might get a little old, but for the kids it never gets old. It's really nice to drive to the elementary school, shake the little kids' hands, watch fire trucks with their horns and sirens," said head coach Brad King.

Caledonia beat Minnewaska 80-41 Wednesday night in their quarterfinal game.

They face two-seed Brooklyn Center Friday night at 8 p.m. in the state semifinals.
