Winona Health diabetes study looking for participants
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – Winona Health is inviting participants for a new study on diabetes.
The Food as Medicine study will observe the impact of healthy meals on adults with diabetes. Over the course of seven months participants will be sent, free of charge, a selection of diabetes friendly pre-made meals, fresh produce and shelf-stable groceries.
The study is open to Winona Health patients 18 or older who have an A1C measurement of 8 or over as well as a Type 1 or Type 2 diagnosis. Those who volunteer for the study must commit to seven months of program participation, and a follow-up appointment in month eight to collect final labs and survey information. Participants who fully complete the program are eligible to receive a $25 gift card for groceries.
If you are interested in participating or have questions, call (507) 453-3749 or log on to Winona Health’s website by July 15.
