New Mayo Clinic hospital to be more eco-friendly
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Mayo Clinic Health System says the new hospital currently under construction in La Crosse will be more eco-friendly.
Mayo says it’s committed to cutting certain greenhouse and reducing energy use.
The new hospital will incorporate geothermal energy, which will be 24% more energy-efficient than a traditional system. It will also generate 42 percent less greenhouse gas emissions.
