New little free pet food pantry on La Crosse’s north side

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – There’s a new little pet pantry on La Crosse’s north side.

You can find it at 1806 Kane Street.

La Crosse’s other pet pantry is a part of the little free pantry at Hamilton Elementary School.

The pantries are supported by Heart2Heart.

The organization’s goal is to help those who need a little extra support to care for their furry friends.

“We don’t really want pets to be given up because people can’t afford to feed them, and so this is our way of trying to help the community keep pets in homes,” said Heart2Heart Board Member Linda Lee.

If you’d like to help, you can drop off dry cat or dog food at either library.

Anyone can stop by and grab pet food if they need it.

Dog waste bags are also available.
