New La Crosse County sheriff sworn-in
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — At a ceremony Monday morning, Jeffrey Wolf was sworn in as the new La Crosse County Sheriff.
Sheriff Wolf was sworn-in along with deputies for the Sheriff’s Department.
Wolf takes over for Steve Helgeson who served as Sheriff for 12 years.
Wolf says the community has problems the sheriff’s department wants to address.
“We’ve got some challenges in the jail in the mental health condition of our inmates and the drug crisis and drug problems of those people that come into the jail,” said La Crosse County Sheriff Jeffrey Wolf.
Incumbent clerk of courts for La Crosse County Pamela Radtke was also sworn-in at the ceremony.
