New La Crosse Co. GOP headquarters opens its doors

Wisconsin’s republican party is investing in La Crosse County with a new headquarters.

The La Crosse area republicans celebrated the grand opening Tuesday night.

The new building is on the 700 block of Rose Street near J’s Auto Sales.

Local party leaders say their new home couldn’t come at a better time.

They expect all eyes will be on La Crosse come November with Republican Dan Kapanke running for his old senate seat and Julian Bradley running for State Assembly.

And as far as the presidential election goes, La Crosse Co.’s GOP chairman says it’s time for a change in Washington.

“I think it’s very important that we have a republican president because we have a republican congress. If we’re going to have a reform agenda in Washington, we’re going lower taxes and roll back regulations and help our economy get going, we need a republican president,” said La Crosse GOP Chairman Bill Feehan.

Bradley will take on Steve Doyle for the 94th District Assembly seat while  Kapanke will look to unseat Jennifer Shilling.
