New Chamber and Visitors Center opens in Tomah

Renovations to an 80- year-old DNR Ranger Station in Tomah are complete and the building will now serve tourists.

The Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center celebrated its move into the new location Monday morning.

Along with serving visitors, the new location includes a museum showing off Tomah’s past.

“And that was very deliberate. We wanted people to walk in and be intrigued to walk in and investigate the entire building. Part of that is we want people visiting our museums in other areas in town, so we felt that this was a great opportunity to start talking about what Tomah’s story was and sharing it with the public,” said Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center CEO Tina Thompson.

Tomah’s Chamber and Visitors Center is hosting an open house Tuesday, July 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
