New bus route on La Crosse’s south side
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A new bus route will help community members getting around La Crosse.
Transit Authority circulator route goes through the south side of the city.
Along the way, the bus makes stops at health care facilities, the La Crosse Public Library and shopping centers.
MTU Transit Manager Adam Lorentz says local residents were vocal about wanting the new route.
“There’s a lot of neighborhoods on our south side, they didn’t have access to simple things such as medical, food and recreational areas. So this route will address all those needs,” said Adam Lorentz, Transit Manager.
The bus route launches from the Transit Center in downtown La Crosse.
The route runs Monday to Friday from 7:10 a.m. until 10:10 p.m.
