Need to get rid of your Christmas tree?

The City of La Crosse has you covered...

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The City of La Crosse will be picking up Christmas trees, for free, January 6th-10th.

Trees need to outside your home by 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6th, to ensure trucks can pick it up at some point during that week.

According to the Recycling Coordinator for the City of La Crosse, Char Wegner, all the collected trees are then recycled for other uses.

“The trees are brought down, and shipped, and recycled for residents to use in their gardens or wherever they want in their yards, and also in the city parks,” says Wegner.

Trees must be completely bare before the city collects your tree. You can drop your tree off at the Isle of la Plume Brush & Yard Waste Site (2000 Marco Drive La Crosse, WI 54601).
Or contact the site to pick up your tree at 608-789-7508.
