‘National Night Out’ events planned for several area communities
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — Community members and police have the chance to build relationships at an annual event Tuesday.
National Night Out events will be held in several area communities.
The events are designed as a chance for community members to spend time with police officers in a relaxed setting.
In Holmen, the free event will offer bounce houses, activities and hot air balloon rides.
While police are organizing the night, the Night Out is about making community connections in lots of ways.
“It’s just a good way for people to meet other neighbors and community members and the police department and local businesses,” said Holmen Police Chief Shane Collins.
Holmen’s festivities take place from 5 to 8 in tomorrow night at Halfway Creek Park.
La Crosse will have celebrations at 11 locations.
National Night out events will also be held in Onalaska, Bangor and Winona, along with several other communities.
