Mural to be added to La Crosse’s Lueth Park
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — New public art is coming to a park in La Crosse.
A mural will be added to Lueth Park as part of a renovation of the park.
Five local artists will work in the park tomorrow to help bring more art to the community.
A pump track was added to the park as a first part of renovations in October last year.
The park has been in place since 1941 and added a skate park about 20 years ago.
The park’s history is helping shape its future.
“All of the artists have skateboarding history and have spent time down at the skate park over the past 20 years, so they were inspired by the space and there weren’t really many restrictions.”
A community art piece will be part of the project, so the community can express themselves throughout the year as well.
