Mount La Crosse to open for season
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Skiing fans will get their chance to hit the slopes Thursday in La Crosse.
Mount La Crosse will open two runs.
The hill had started making snow in early November … one of the earliest the hills has made snow in recent years.
While the hill will be open this weekend, it will likely be closed early next week to allow for around-the-clock snowmaking.
Still, there is plenty of excitement for the start of the season.
“Definitely our customers are ready to get out here, the phones are ringing, people are stopping out here, getting their gear ready so that they can start as soon as we get open,” said Mt. La Crosse general manager Darcie Breidel.
The hill will be open starting at 4 on Thursday and Friday and at 9 in the morning on Saturday and Sunday.
