More volunteers needed for Neighbors Day in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Volunteers are still needed for a spring cleaning effort in La Crosse.
The number of volunteer opportunities is continuing to increase for the annual Neighbor’s Day event in La Crosse.
The annual effort helps elderly and disabled people in the city of La Crosse take care of some yard work.
Volunteers can also help clean up the marsh, along with area parks.
A record member of assistance requests is helping to grow the need.
“It’s open to everybody, so kids, adults, anybody can help rake yards, turn garden beds, clean windows, trim shrubs, pick up garbage. It’s a family friendly event,” said Kahya Fox, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Area.
Neighbors Day will be held on Saturday April 27th from 8 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.
Volunteers will start at the Myrick Park Center.
Tools, materials, and a free lunch will be provided.
Volunteers can sign up at habitatlacrosse.org/neighbors-day.
