More than 90 percent of La Crosse County absentee ballots returned

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – You can still drop off your absentee ballot.

Absentee ballots in Wisconsin and Minnesota must be received by the time polls close on election day.

As of Friday morning, 90-point-5 percent of absentee ballots in La Crosse County have been returned.

It is better than the return rate in the rest of the state with a 88.6% percent return rate as of Friday morning.

The number of ballots in La Crosse County that have not been returned is down a little more than 1,800 ballots from just three days ago.

For comparison, as of Tuesday 84.7% of ballots in La Crosse County were returned.

And the state average had an 81.9% return rate.

As a reminder, the absentee ballot data combines mail in and in-person absentee voting in the state.
