More than 23,000 pounds of trash collected during record breaking River Clean Up in La Crosse

Since 1993, volunteers have collected 750,000 pounds of waste.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A record number of volunteers collected a record amount of trash during La Crosse’s annual River Clean Up.

It took place back in May.

470 people helped collect a little more than 23,000 pounds of trash.

Since 1993, volunteers have collected 750,000 pounds of waste.
