More than 1,500 graduates celebrate at UW-La Crosse 2022 commencement ceremony
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – La Crosse celebrated the UW-La Crosse Class of 2022 on Sunday. More than 1,500 seniors and 300 graduate students walked the stage.
Family and friends filled the La Crosse center, as spring commencement held three different ceremonies throughout the day. This was the first in-person commencement in two years, for a class that also had to work through a pandemic and all the restrictions that came with it.
“.So that’s really exciting, and these particular graduates, wow, they have shown some resilience and perseverance that is just extraordinary,” said Joe Gow, chancellor at UW-La Crosse. “They truly are one of a kind.”
