More Seasonable This Weekend, Maybe Some Rain & Snow

We’ll be stuck in between weather system Friday night. As a result, look for a partly cloudy sky. It won’t be as cold as lows range from the middle and upper 20s across much of the region. The exception will be those of you who live in the far north, as well as cranberry country, where lows will likely reach the upper teens to lower 20s.

We should see some brief sunshine Saturday morning, but clouds thicken through the afternoon Saturday. Look for highs back in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Low pressure and a cold front will bring a decent chance of light snow or mix after midnight Saturday night… and into part of Sunday. It will be cooler Sunday with highs in the upper 30s. Some minor snow accumulations could occur with this system, with up to a half-inch possible in spots Saturday night. Most of this snow will probably melt Sunday as any snow is expected to mix with or change to rain Sunday. As a result, I am not expecting any significant travel problems.

Looking Ahead… Clouds will linger into Monday. Highs will be around 40F.

We’ll see a mix of clouds and sun as highs top out in the lower to middle 40s.

Clouds return Wednesday as highs warm into the low-mid 40s.

A disturbance will bring at least a slight chance of light rain and snow Wednesday night into Thursday. Highs Thursday will drop back into the upper 30s.

Friday looks mainly sunny and dry with highs in the upper 30s. Next Saturday is the start of gun deer hunting season in Wisconsin… and at this point it looks dry with increasing clouds and highs around 40F.
