Moonlight Cinema in Viroqua to rock ‘n’ roll on July 4
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — The Moonlight Cinema in Viroqua, which is VARC Inc.’s outdoor theater, will present “The 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concerts” as a special Fourth of July showing at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. for the event, near the city of Viroqua’s fireworks launch from the Vernon County Fairgrounds. The Moonlight Cinema offers an exceptional view of the fireworks, and local food vendors, including Papa’s Bar B Q, will help VARC provide a fun family experience, according to a news release.
“We are pleased to be able to offer a safe, affordable and family friendly event for our communities this Fourth of July holiday,” said Megan Tully, VARC’s development manager who has been a leader in the cinema.
The Moonlight has safety protocols in place to ensure a comfortable and safe experience, including requiring staff to wear face coverings, setting up socially distanced spaces for guests and sanitizing throughout the event.
Tickets are $10 plus $2.24 fee for grass seating for up to five people, or $35 plus $3.77 fee for a family vehicle holding only as many people as it has seat belts.
The Moonlight features a no-contact ticket purchase process and plenty of outdoor space under the stars. More guidelines, including the ticket-purchasing process, are on VARC’s website.
