Monroe County Health Department to host COVID-19 vaccine clinics
37.9% of people in the county received at least one doses of the vaccine.
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) -Free walk in vaccinations will be available at Monroe County’s Health Department office starting Monday.
The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be available during the clinics that run through June 22nd.
As of Friday, 37.9% of people in the county received at least one doses of the vaccine.
The is the lowest rate in of Wisconsin counties in the la Crosse area and 11 percent behind the state average.
As health leaders in the county work to improve access, they hope more people will get the vaccine.
“As people learn more, know more people around them that have become vaccinated, we hope that people will choose to get vaccinated,” said Monroe County Health Department public information officer.
There will also be clinics in late June and in July.
