Monroe Co. reports 4 new deaths, 22 additional COVID-19 cases
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT)- The Monroe Co. Health Department reported 4 new deaths Tuesday from COVID-19.
The county also added 22 new COVID-19 cases.
The health director says the deaths happened over the past few days.
Three of the people were in their 80s, and one was in their 90s. No other information was available.
Cumulatively, Monroe Co. has recorded 8 deaths and 987 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 4,591 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, which it said reflected a backlog after its electronic reporting system was upgraded last weekend.
The department’s reporting system underwent routine maintenance and enhancements, which temporarily paused data reporting.
