Mobile little free library helps spread reading throughout La Crosse

The Paperback Rider circulates among La Crosse's parks every week

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A mobile “free little library” in La Crosse is finding adventure on the road and on the page.

The “Paperback Rider” is Terri Wolfgran’s effort to make reading more accessible as she takes the mobile library to local parks.

Since starting in 2018, she’s handed out 1,700 books.

As the bike stops. the next journey begins for anyone getting a book.

“Seeing the kids that are excited to get a book. Or to find one that they can read,” Wolfgran said.

The Paperback Rider will be at La Crosse’s parks each week.

More details are available on the Paperback Rider Facebook page.
