UPDATE: Missing woman with dementia found deceased during search
LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) – A elderly woman with dementia who was reported missing early this morning and has been found deceased, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 12 pm on Sunday, the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter located her in a wooded area around Townhall Road, near her residence.
The incident is under investigation and there’s no further information at this time.
Houston County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Houston County Sheriff’s Posse, La Crescent Fire Department, La Crescent PD, La Crescent Police Reserves, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and Minnesota State Patrol.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound and the Houston County Posse drone also assisted with the search.
UPDATE: Houston County Sheriff’s Office says the woman is in the area of Townhall Road.
They are being assisted by La Crescent Fire Department, La Crescent PD, and Minnesota State Patrol.
There is a helicopter and drone searching the area as well.

She left her home on foot.
She’s 80 years old, 5’2 and 120lbs,
She’s wearing night attire.
People are being asked to check their property, buildings.
