Minnesota, Wisconsin lead nation in U.S. Census response rate
Census response window open through end of October
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKBT) – The Upper Midwest continues to lead the way in responding to the U.S. Census.
Wisconsin has a 68.8% response rate.
That is second only to Minnesota, which has a 71.4% response rate.
Eau Claire County is leading the way in our area, a 77.8% response rate.
That is the 25th best response rate for any county in the U.S.
La Crosse County is has a 70.4% response rate.
But the City of La Crosse is doing worse with only 64.8% responding.
The census will impact how federal aid will support communities across the U.S.
Anyone who has not responded can do so on the 2020 Census website.
The response window for the Census is open through the end of October.
