Minnesota, Wisconsin continue to lead nation for Census response

La Crosse has 65.6 response rate

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKBT) – Wisconsin continues to be a national leader responding to the U.S. Census.

The Badger state has the 2nd best response with a 69.5 percent self response.

That trails only Minnesota with a 72.2 percent respone rate.

In our area, Saint Charles and La Crescent have more than 80 percent response rates.

In Wisconsin, Onalaska leads the way for area communities in the state with a 78.1 percent response rate.

La Crosse has only a 65.6 percent response.

That is in the bottom third of response rates in the state.

Anyone that has not responded to the census can do so on the 2020 census website.
