Minnesota educational leaders meet in Winona
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Educational leaders from across Minnesota met Wednesday in Winona.
Winona State University and Minnesota State College Southeast are hosting the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
While the board deals with 37 schools across the state, the opportunity to be in Winona gives the board the chance to focus on needs.
Enrollment for both of Winona’s public post secondary schools drew special attention for the board.
“There has been a slight decline in [the] last couple of years, but I think both of our institutions are well positioned and have great leadership in place that they will turn this around,” said Devinder Malhotra, Chancellor of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
This is the first time the Minnesota State College and Universities Board of Directors has met in Winona.
