Mild Tonight, No Fog Friday AM for a Change -Bill Graul
Periodic Rain Chances Friday Night Through Monday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 66F / Friday’s Forecast High: 83F…
Breezy and warm this evening for outdoor plans, with some haze in the sky due to smoke from wildfires out west. Expect clear to partly cloudy skies overnight with lows ranging from 59-67F. Winds will stay up enough overnight to prevent any fog formation Friday morning.
Dry Friday morning, then a slight chance of showers in the afternoon north & west of La Crosse. Much of our area will stay dry until rain chances increase region-wide Friday night. One more warm day Friday with highs in the low-mid 80s near and south/east of La Crosse. A bit cooler north and west where clouds will be seen first, with highs in the 70s.
Expect periods of showers and isolated t-storms Friday night and Saturday. Periods of showers will continue on Sunday and even into Monday as well. The rain is needed across the region, but it’s bad timing over the weekend. I don’t see it raining every hour of the weekend, but definitely have that rain gear handy for outdoor plans and perhaps have a Plan B as well. The rain chances and cloud cover will cause cooler temps this weekend, with most spots seeing highs only in the 60s to perhaps near 70F.
Looking Ahead… Next Tuesday and Wednesday look dry and more seasonable with highs well into the 70s. Slight rain chances return late Wednesday night into Thursday, with just isolated showers possible next Friday.
Have a great night! -Meteorologist Bill Graul
