Mild & Muggy Tonight, Isolated Evening T-Showers S & E -Bill Graul
ALERT DAY Tuesday: Chance For A Few Strong Storms & Locally Heavy Rainfall
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 73F / Tuesday’s Forecast High: 90F…
It was another hot and humid day across the region with many spots seeing highs in the 90-95F range. High humidity caused heat indices in the mid-upper 90s to as hot as 102F at the La Crosse airport.
Tonight there could be some isolated t-showers this evening in far south/east parts of the viewing area. Most areas will remain dry and it will be another mild and muggy night. Lows will range from the mid 60s (north/east) to low-mid 70s.
Still very warm and humid Tuesday with a chance of showers and t-storms around midday. Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90F. Winds will be from the SW around 5-15 mph.
Rain chances increase later in the day and into Tuesday night and that’s when there could be a few strong to isolated severe storms with gusty winds and hail. Locally heavy rainfall could also occur if storms track over the same areas, which looks possible as a frontal boundary slowly sinks south across the region. Due to this… Tuesday is an ALERT DAY, meaning we want you to remain extra weather aware, especially late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
Showers and isolated thunder could linger into Wednesday morning as well. Otherwise, much cooler and less humid Wednesday with highs only in the upper 60s to low 70s!
Looking Ahead… Partly sunny and pleasant Thursday, then another system could bring some more showers and t-storms Friday and perhaps into Saturday as well. High temps those three days look to be in the upper 70s to near 80F. Sunday looks dry at this time, with highs in the low-mid 80s.
Just isolated t-showers look possible for next Monday and Tuesday. Temps will be seasonably warm, with highs in the low-mid 80s.
Stay cool this evening and have a great night! -Bill Graul
