Mild & Muggy Tonight -Bill Graul
Hot & Humid Today, Slight Chance Of T-Storms
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 72F / Tuesday’s Forecast High: 91F…
Today marked the 5th day in a row reaching 90-degrees or hotter at the La Crosse airport. It was also more humid today, with dew points in the 60s… making it feel a couple degrees hotter.
Tonight will be mild and muggy, under partly cloudy skies. Expect low to range from the mid 60s (north/east) to the low 70s. Winds will only be around 5-10 mph from the S/SE.
Moisture will continue to increase from the south on Tuesday. A weak boundary could act on this moisture, causing a slight chance for hit/miss showers and t-storms Tuesday afternoon and evening. Not everyone will see rain, but perhaps have that umbrella handy just in case. Otherwise, it will be another hot and humid day… with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Looking Ahead… Our early June heat wave will continue this week, with high temps likely reaching 90F or hotter right through Friday. Overnight lows will be in the mid-upper 60s to low 70s. It will also remain humid through the week. Just isolated showers/t-storms look possible on Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front will bring a better chance of scattered showers and storms Friday, perhaps even some strong storms. Stay tuned for updates!
It won’t be as humid for the weekend, but it will still be warm with highs in the upper 80s. A bit closer to average early next week, with highs Monday and Tuesday in the mid 80s. Monday looks dry at this time, with just isolated t-showers possible Tuesday.
Stay cool and have a good night… and a great week ahead! -Bill Graul
