Midwest Music Fest visits La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A Winona music festival is making a stop in La Crosse this weekend. The Midwest Music Fest brought dozens of artists to more than 6 venues in the downtown area.
More than 200 volunteers help put on the two festivals held in La Crosse and Winona. For $25, guests could see any of the artists of various genres at any of the venues in town.
Organizers say this festival is about supporting the local community in a fun way.
“Midwest Music Fest is really a community centered event. Our tagline is ‘Where music and community meet’ so we really want to bring the music to downtown. We want people to get out and about enjoying the music and also spending money in local restaurants and hotels and shops,” said Midwest Music Fest assistant director, Dave Casey.
The non-profit is celebrating it’s 9th birthday later this month with a festival in Winona. For more information on the non-profit and their music, visit their website at www.midwestmusicfest.org.
