Medical careers explored by high school students in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Students are exploring medical careers Wednesday in La Crosse.
About 90 Holmen High School freshman and sophomores explored careers in health care at Mayo Clinic Health System.
As part of the event, students experienced a simulated trauma case in the Emergency Room.
Keeping new students interested in health care careers effects everyone.
“I would like to hope that there is a great surplus of people that are coming into health care because we are all going to need people in health care,” said Joy Erb-Moser, Registered Nurse with Mayo Clinic Health System.
Students from Viterbo’s School of Nursing helped organize the event.
