Mayor to see pay cut if voters approve administrator referendum
LA CROSSE, Wis. — If an April referendum is successful in La Crosse, the mayor will be seeing a pretty substantial pay-cut.
La Crosse’s city council approved a resolution Thursday night that would cut the mayor’s yearly salary by about half, down to around $38,000. It would only happen if the city administrator referendum passes in April.
The mayoral salary cut would take effect in April of next year.
