Mayor declares October ‘Bullying Prevention Awareness Month’
Mayor Tim Kabat made the proclamation at City Hall Thursday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The city of La Crosse is doing its part to spread compassion in our area.
Mayor Tim Kabat is declaring October ‘Bullying Prevention Awareness Month.’
The mayor made the proclamation at City Hall today.
He was joined by a group of students wearing orange ‘Compassion Lives Here’ t-shirts and members of the Coulee Region Compassion Alliance.
The mayor says preventing bullying actually starts with getting the message through to adults.
“We’re very fortunate here with the Compassion Alliance that they’re working each and every day to educate and to role model great behavior, and to also challenge our adults here in town to set a good example,” says Mayor Kabat.
