LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Driving through the city Sunday night people probably bright lights while traveling on West Avenue.

Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse is lighting its Cancer and Surgery Center on West Ave in lime green and fuchsia in recognition of National Influenza Vaccine Week.

Getting the vaccine reduces the chances of getting the flu, but even if a vaccinated person gets the flu, it won’t be as bad.

People can get vaccinated for the flu now at all Mayo Clinic Health System sites. People can get also get vaccinated while at an appointment they already have scheduled. A vaccine can also be scheduled online.
