Mayo Clinic in La Crosse to resume celebrating Mass May 9
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse will resume celebrating Catholic Mass May 9 at the St. Francis Chapel.
Mass has been suspended since April 2020 due to COVID-19.
It will be held each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15 p.m. in the chapel on the second floor of the hospital. Seating will be limited and those attending Mass must follow Mayo Clinic safety protocols, including wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing. If a visitor does not have a mask, Mayo will provide one.
“While the chapel doors have always been open for prayer and meditation during the pandemic,” says Father Honoré Kombo, Priest Chaplain at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, “we are delighted to celebrate Mass once again with those seeking the healing grace of the Eucharistic and willing to participate to live Mass.”
