LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Staff from Mayo Clinic Health System are helping the Afghans at Fort McCoy.
The health system teamed up with with Beer by Bike Brigade and Catholic Charities to hold a donation drive.
Their goal goes beyond gathering the needed items.
“We had a goal to engage our staff to donate and have the opportunity to welcome our Afghani guests and fill the bus,” said Mayo Clinic Health System equity, inclusion and diversity chair Dr. Caroline Wilker.
While Mayo Clinic Health System’s drive is over, you can still help.
Catholic Charities has a list of donation needs on the organization’s website.
