Mayo Clinic Health System to discontinue Holmen Respiratory Clinic
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) – Mayo Clinic Health System will discontinue its Respiratory Clinic in Homen tomorrow, July 7.
The number of patients requiring care at the clinic has declined since the dedicated clinic first opened in April.
“Safety measures have been put into place at all clinic locations in order to care for respiratory patients while preventing any potential virus transmission to other patients in the building, including a separate area for respiratory patients, strict social distancing guidelines, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE),” says Megan Eddy, Mayo Clinic Health System administrator.
“In addition, Mayo Clinic Health System has implemented numerous safety measures, including robust patient screening, universal masking and enhanced cleaning of patient care, staff and waiting spaces,” says Joannie Schmidt, Mayo Clinic Health System Holmen clinic manager.
With the discontinuation of the respiratory clinic, services previously offered in the lower level of the building will return, including physical therapy, ultrasound, behavioral health, and others.
