Mayo Clinic gives best COVID-19 care in the country
Mortality rates found in this study are also lower than rates found in other major studies
ROCHESTER, Minn (WKBT) – An area hospital leads the country in caring for COVID-19 patients.
According to a study conducted from March to July shows that patients treated at Mayo Clinic in Rochester have better outcomes compared to hospitals in the country and the world.
Mortality rates found in this study are also lower than rates found in other major studies.
“With our enhanced hospital capabilities, we’ve opened up some new beds and some new units recently, we believe that our mortality rates today, will be as favorable as, possibly better than the mortality rates we described in this paper,” said Dr. Andrew Badley, of Mayo Clinic’s COVID-19 Research Task Force.
The median age for those treated in the study is 59 years old.
