Mayo Clinic flu and COVID vaccine clinic extended for 2 weeks
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse will offer flu and COVID-19 vaccines at its centralized vaccine clinic for another two weeks, it said Wednesday.
The site, located at the corner of 10th and Market streets, vaccinated nearly 4,000 patients last week and also offers COVID-19 testing.
“We’re expecting to see increased volumes at the vaccination clinic for the next several weeks,” says Benjamin Anderson, nurse administrator for the Flu Shot Clinic and COVID-19 vaccination site at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. “Demand for influenza and the Pfizer COVID-19 booster vaccines has been steady and robust, and we are also preparing for the impending FDA approval of the Moderna booster and pediatric dosing of the COVID-19 vaccine for children 5-11 years of age.”
Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations will now be available at the La Crosse Centralized Vaccine Clinic Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. through Nov. 11. If an appointment is preferred, patients can schedule their vaccines via Patient Online Services online or in the Mayo Clinic app. Patients may also may call 608-392-7400 to schedule an appointment.
