Mayo Clinic and Boys & Girls Club to host two more La Crosse COVID-19 vaccine clinics

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Mayo Clinic Health System and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater La Crosse have partnered up again to host two more free COVID-19 vaccine clinics at the Terry Erickson Boys & Girls Club on La Crosse’s North Side and in the Mathy Center in Viterbo University.

Both clinics will be 2-6 p.m. for the next two Thursdays: May 13 at the Terry Erickson Boys & Girls Club and May 20 in the Mathy Center. People are asked to register by calling 608-782-3926; however, walk-ins will be accepted. Masking and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Mayo Clinic Health System staff will be providing first doses of the Pfizer vaccine and second doses for participants who received their vaccine at previous Boys and Girls club clinics. One dose Johnson and Johnson vaccines will also be made available. For those receiving a first dose, a second appointment at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse will be scheduled before leaving the site.

Pfizer vaccines will also be available for children ages 12-15 after the Centers for Disease Control updated its authorization Wednesday afternoon, allowing people in that age group to be vaccinated with parental consent.

For parents wishing to vaccinate their children 12 years and up and can’t make the Boys and Girls Club vaccine clinics may also make an appointment or walk in at the Mayo Clinic Health System COVID 19 vaccination location at the corner of 10th Street and Market weekdays from 1 to 5 p.m.

Patients in Southwest Wisconsin can schedule their appointment using Patient Online Services or the Mayo Clinic App. Enroll in Patient Online Services. If patients don’t have an account, they can enroll in Patient Online Services. Patients without access to Patient Online Services can call 608-392-7400 to schedule their appointment to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
