Match Day brings great results for the Salvation Army

More than $60,000 was raised on Saturday

There was a huge day for the Salvation Army over the weekend.

More than $60,000 was collected on Saturday, which was the Red Kettle campaign’s Match Day. An anonymous donor had stepped up to match the first $50,000 donated.

That funding puts the Red Kettle campaign $12,000 ahead of where it was last year.

However, the Salvation Army is hoping to collect about $175,000 more this year.
Kettles and bell ringers are out through Christmas Eve.
