Market in the Park takes place in Onalaska

The organizers are planning to have more markets during the second weekends in July and August

ONALASKA, Wis (WKBT) – Today, the Omni Center in Onalaska held their first successful outdoor market.

Vendors were able to set up their shops in the parking lot of the Onalaska Aquatic Center and in Van Riper Park.

They were able to sell crafts, books, decor, even food vendors were able to join the festivities.

The summer market was added in addition to their normal markets in the spring and fall.

Outside of their regular markets, Justin Swartling, the event coordinator, told us this one is significant for another reason, “The market’s important to get people out and about and to help these businesses that have been shutdown for awhile. And just to have a safe event and get things back to normal”

The organizers are planning to have more markets during the second weekends in July and August.
