Manufacturing Lunch celebrates business, education connects in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A celebration of manufacturing businesses’ partnerships with local school district are being celebrated at an annual event in La Crosse.
The Manufacturing Luncheon was held at Western Technical College in La Crosse.
Discussions focused on how businesses can recruit, retain, and motivate future employees as they graduate.
Businesses can get kids motived, just by sharing information.
“There are so many great opportunities in manufacturing and just really to give them an opportunity explore and spend some time on a manufacturing floor, see what it looks like, because it’s completely different,” said Angie Martin, director of Business and Industry Services, Western Technical College.
The event was followed by a manufacturing career fair, including manufacturers from around the region.
