Man injured in motorcycle crash in Juneau County

A man was injured Sunday after police say he may have struck a deer while riding his motorcycle.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office responded to the motorcycle crash at 9:17 p.m. on Hwy. M in the town of Clearfield. Initial investigation indicates that the 30-year-old man may have struck a deer, but it was not clear.

The driver was seriously injured in the crash and taken via helicopter to a hospital for treatment.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, which investigating, was assisted at the scene by the New Lisbon Police Department, New Lisbon Fire Department, New Lisbon First Responders, Mauston Ambulance, Camp Douglas Rescue Squad, UW Medflight and Northside Mobil.
