Man arrested in downtown La Crosse brawl, stabbing out of jail
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The man arrested for stabbing someone as part of a brawl in downtown La Crosse is out of jail.
24-year-old Luke Morrissey of St. Paul appeared in court Friday afternoon.
La Crosse Police say Morrissey was kicked out of Carlie’s on Third Street early Thursday morning for starting a fight in the bar.
A confrontation followed on the sidewalk outside with Morrissey stabbing another man in the head multiple times with a knife.
Morrissey was later beaten until he was unconscious and sent to the hospital.
He faces charges of recklessly endangering safety and aggravated battery, but was released Friday on a $1500 signature bond.
