Mabel-Canton star McCabe commits to Viterbo Volleyball

Mabel-Canton star setter Kenidi McCabe has committed to Viterbo Volleyball, according to Viterbo head coach Ryan DeLong.

McCabe is a three-time All-State and four-time All-SEC player and has started on Mabel-Canton’s varsity program since she was in seventh grade. Her career marks include 3,215 assists, 1,618 digs, 612 kills, 326 aces, and a 3.75 GPA in the classroom.

She says moving on from such a special high school program will be an adjustment, but the V-Hawks just feel like the right fit.

“I have had contact with Viterbo for maybe a month or two,” McCabe said. “Their coaches are just really nice, appealing and personable, so it felt like home.

“The girls I’ve played with always stand out, because we’ve played with each other since third of fourth grade. My team is my family, and it’s going to be so different playing with different girls next year.”
