Luther season preview

The task for the Knights? Stack success.

After going 0-9 in 2011, Luther won two games last year, beating Blair-Taylor and Viroqua.

Quarterback Christian Kennedy is gone, but another senior takes his spot: Aaron Schaper. The Knight’s new man under center, as well as the rest of the seniors, hope to build on last season.

“Christian did a great job,” said Luther Head Coach Jason Hagedorn. “But with the senior leadership we’ve got coming back, they’re just kind of picking up the baton so to speak and running with it.”

“[Coach Hagedorn] talked to a group of us and put it all on us. This year, it depends on how we perform and lead all the other guys,” said senior Jake Luehmann.

“Definitely he just wants, leadership is a big thing, especially as a quarterback. You just have to be able to do whatever it takes to get a W,” Schaper said.
