People find ways to heal loneliness during the pandemic
Social distancing guidelines have reduced the spread of the coronavirus, these measures also increase loneliness within people.
ROCHESTER, Minn. (WKBT) – Social distancing guidelines have reduced the spread of the coronavirus. These measures also increase loneliness within people.
New research shows that these measures have contributed to undue harm to a person’s mental health and well-being. Women and people with poor health are the most affected.
Despite these factors, many people are still finding ways to engage with friends and family.
“It’s just amazing to see how people rise to the challenge. And how people have, despite all these barriers, stayed connected in such creative ways. And the power of family bonds are very very strong, and it’s kind of remarkable.”
