Local school districts create new K-12 online learning opportunity for the upcoming school year
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – School districts in our area are working together to prepare for the upcoming school year.
The School Districts of La Crosse, Holmen, Onalaska, and West Salem are creating the Coulee Region Virtual Academy for grades K-12.
This is different than the distance learning that happened during the Spring.
If enrolled, your child would be taught virtually whether or not classes are held in-person.
It’s for families and students who prefer a distance-learning environment.
Courses will be taught by teachers within these districts and students will engage in rigorous, state-of-the-art curriculum.
The program is free of charge but does require a semester-long commitment and adult support for younger students.
You can learn more about the Coulee Region Virtual Academy and participate in a survey by visiting the School District of La Crosse website.
