Local police departments go Wild for Special Olympics fundraiser
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Local police departments got a little wild Wednesday night!
The Onalaska Police Department hosted other departments for the 9th annual “Cops Gone Wild” night at Buffalo Wild Wings. Officers greeted guests to the restaurant and helped wait staff during the Wisconsin Special Olympics fundraiser.
Officers and athletes also competed in a wing eating contest for both bragging rights and a trophy!
“Have you done it before?”
“I did it once before,” said athlete Sara Shumacher.
“How many did you eat?”
“I think 7.”
“Do you have a goal for tonight? Just eat as much as you can?”
“No I don’t, Eat as much as you can.”
A portion of Buffalo Wild Wings’ sales that night are also being donated to the Wisconsin Special Olympics.
