Local police departments collect more than 1,000 pounds of drugs during Drug Take-Back Day
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — More than 1,000 pounds of unwanted and expired prescription drugs is removed from our area.
7 La Crosse County police departments wrapped up Wisconsin’s fall Drug Take Back day by taking those collected drugs to be properly disposed. The agencies collected 1,021 pounds of drugs, with La Crosse alone collecting 243 pounds.
The La Crosse Police Department says these days are an important part of keeping drugs out of reach of addicts and others who may abuse them.
